💦 Experience the perfect low-impact workout in our 32°C warm-water Aqua Aerobics classes at Baywave Aquatic & Leisure Centre. Suitable for all fitness levels, from those with limited mobility to active exercisers.

Two Class Options:

  • Aqua Fit - Medium-intensity, great introduction to aqua aerobics
  • Mon 8:00am, Tue 8:45am & 1:30pm, Wed 8:45am, Thu 8:45am & 1:40pm, Fri 8:00am
  • Aqua Blast - Higher-intensity for those wanting more challenge
  • Mon 8:45am, Tue 8:00am, Wed 8:00am, Thu 8:00am, Fri 8:45am, Sat 8:15am

Aqua aerobics provides an excellent full-body workout that's gentle on your joints while effectively building strength, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness. The warm 32°C water at Baywave creates the perfect environment for comfortable movement, even for those with arthritis, joint pain, or mobility concerns.

Our classes use water resistance and foam weights to create a comprehensive workout that:

  • Reduces impact on joints while increasing resistance
  • Improves cardiovascular fitness and muscle tone
  • Enhances flexibility, balance and coordination
  • Supports weight management goals
  • Creates a supportive, social environment

The Leisure Pool features accessible ramp entry and gradual depth changes, allowing you to exercise at a comfortable level. You don't need to be a confident swimmer as exercises are performed with feet on the pool floor.

What to bring: Comfortable swimwear, water bottle, and towel. Optional water shoes for added stability.

Our experienced, supportive instructors are dedicated to helping you move safely and confidently in the water. Whether you're using a walking aid, have reduced strength and balance, or are looking for a challenging workout, our multi-level classes can be adapted to suit your individual needs. 💪
