Saturday Morning Orchestra Rehearsals

Why Saturday Rehearsals are Worth Attending

Players arrive ready to dive into orchestral music with their instruments tuned and music stands set up. The session focuses on working through full pieces as a group, refining timing, dynamics and ensemble playing under the guidance of the conductor. Adults and seniors join from a range of experience levels, building skills through regular practice together.

The orchestra meets every Saturday morning in Mayfair for these focused rehearsals. Visitors are welcome to come along and take part in the session. Everyone works on the current repertoire, listens closely to each section and improves coordination across the full ensemble. 🎻

• Rehearse complete orchestral works as a full group
• Develop timing and balance with other players
• Receive conductor feedback on technique and phrasing
• Play alongside others at mixed experience levels
• Progress through new pieces each term
• Enjoy a structured music-making session in a supportive setting

These weekly gatherings suit anyone looking to keep playing regularly and stay connected with live orchestral music. 🎼
