Petone Barbershop Rehearsal

A Typical Session

Participants gather to rehearse four-part unaccompanied barbershop harmony in a focused, supportive setting. The weekly Wednesday evening session centres on learning and refining vocal parts, working through new arrangements, and polishing pieces for upcoming community and corporate performances. Singers of all experience levels are welcome, from those new to harmony singing through to experienced vocalists who enjoy the precision and blend of barbershop style.

The Faultline Chorus hosts these open rehearsals, giving adults and seniors the chance to try the format before committing. Attendees can expect a mix of warm-up exercises, section work, and full-group run-throughs that build both skill and enjoyment. The group meets every Wednesday evening, providing a consistent rhythm for those looking to develop their singing while connecting with others who share the same interest.
