The Exchange : Reflective Practice for CreativesA Workshop SeriesCreative work is rewarding, but it can also be demanding. These workshops offer a space to pause, reflect, and connect with other local creative practitioners.Curious to gain more clarity and inspiration in your creative work? Come and explore your practice Reconnect through collaborative ‘play’ Share experiences and listen deeply An inclusive experience; designed to respond to each particular group.Through coaching and creative tools, we’ll explore our practices together in a group setting, sharing experiences and listening deeply. The process involves reflection, structured sharing, and collective exploration.Each person will take away something different - whether it’s greater clarity, a sense of growth, or simply the buzz of being in a room with fellow creatives.This is a 5-workshop series. Each session is ‘stand-alone’ and you are welcome to attend any number of them across Te Tai Tokerau.Limited to 20 places per workshop - bookings essential.'Pay what you can' thanks to funding from Foundation North through Creative Northland. You're invited to the Connect and Create Monthly Meet Up hosted by Creative NorthlandThursday 23rd October and Thursday 20th November10am - 12pmAt Mangawhai Artists WorkspaceConnect and Create Meetups are an informal and free opportunity for anyone aged 16+ to let their imagination run wild and to have some fun.We all understand the power of play for children, yet we often forget to prioritise this in our busy adult lives. Alongside providing joy, research shows that creative play can help improve our wellbeing by reducing stress and soothing the nervous system.Artists, hobbyists, crafters and even those who say "I don't have a creative bone in my body" are all welcome!Each month art making resources are provided free of charge for you to experiment with or you can bring along your own personal project (a drawing, knitting, painting etc) to work on if you'd prefer.Hosted by Kylee Newbold, Creative Northland's Kaipara Creative Advisor. Kylee is a colour loving creative based in Mangawhai. Her background is within Visual Arts Facilitation, with over 20 years experience supporting both rangatahi and adults to build their own art practices and strengthen wellbeing through creativity.Please register by emailing kaipara@creativenorthland.com
