Description of Trees, Trees and More Trees – Art Activation

Join us at the Hundertwasser Art Centre with Wairau Māori Art Gallery for a fun, creative morning celebrating Arbor Day and World Environment Day.

Get hands-on and create your own Arbor Day poster, inspired by the importance of trees and the role they play in supporting our environment.

Arbor Day has a long history in Aotearoa. First observed in the late 1800s, it was a day dedicated to planting trees across the country. Since 1977, it has been celebrated on 5 June, with a strong focus on planting and protecting New Zealand native trees. Ministry for Primary Industries

This is a great opportunity for tamariki and whānau to learn, create, and connect with nature through art.

Please note: All children must be accompanied by an adult.
