Description of The NZSO presents: Masterworks

The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra returns with Masterworks, a stunning evening of orchestral brilliance conducted by James Judd, Music Director Emeritus of the NZSO. The programme features Haydn’s Symphony No. 100 Military, Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite No. 1, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 Pastoral — a beloved celebration of nature and harmony. The concert also includes the Aotearoa premiere of Briar Prastiti’s The Garden, a vibrant new work commissioned through the NZSO/SOUNZ Tarling Trust. From the elegance of the classical era to the emotion of contemporary voices, Masterworks showcases the full power and beauty of live orchestral music.
