Description of Strong & Stable: Senior Fitness at Hamilton Workingmen's Club

💪 Join our friendly Strong & Stable classes at Hamilton Workingmen's Club - fun, supportive strength and balance sessions designed specifically for older adults. Our classes cater to different mobility levels with options to increase or decrease intensity.

Class Details:

  • 45-minute sessions with chair support available
  • Focused on strength, balance, cardio and flexibility
  • Entry fee: $2 per session
  • Suitable for those with limited mobility to reasonable mobility
  • Thursday class currently has spaces available
  • Many participants enjoy a cuppa and chat afterwards

What to bring: Comfortable clothes (track pants, shorts, tights), lace-up shoes or sneakers. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early for your first class.

Membership: Non-members welcome to try 2-3 classes before joining the Hamilton Workingmen's Club (annual fee $25). Membership includes access to affiliated clubs throughout NZ.

Eligibility: Open to anyone 65+ years (55+ for Māori and Pasifika) or those at increased risk of falling who can safely participate.
