If you're new to exercise or feel unsure about physical activities, this class is a reassuring place to start. It's designed for older adults with limited mobility, using gentle exercises to build strength, balance, and mobility. The sessions include both seated and standing options, guided by an instructional CD in a supportive setting. You'll find it at 155 Pottery Lane, Coromandel 3506.
These falls prevention exercises help reduce the risk of falling and boost confidence in daily movements. Regular attendance can strengthen muscles for better stability, improve coordination, and ease worries about falls. It's open to anyone aged 65 or older, or 55 or older for Māori and Pasifika people, as well as those at higher risk who can join safely.
