Benefits of Balance and Strength Training for Seniors 💪

Our "Steady as You Go" classes provide a supportive environment where you can work at your own pace to improve mobility and confidence. These classes are particularly valuable for:

  • Fall Prevention: Regular balance exercises can reduce your risk of falls by up to 30%, keeping you independent and active longer
  • Strength Building: Even gentle exercises help maintain muscle mass, which naturally decreases as we age
  • Social Connection: Meet others in your community in a relaxed, friendly setting
  • Confidence Boosting: Gain assurance in your everyday movements and activities

The peer-led approach means these classes are supportive and non-intimidating. You'll be guided through exercises that can be adapted to suit your individual needs and abilities. 🌿

Regular participation in balance and strength exercises has been shown to improve quality of life and help maintain independence. Our classes incorporate movements that replicate everyday activities, making the exercises practical and relevant to daily life. 🏡

No special equipment or previous experience is needed - just wear comfortable clothing and supportive footwear. Come along and join our wonderful community of movers who are committed to staying steady, strong and social! 😊
