Line Dancing is about fun and friendship
I have a background in dance. A Highland Dancer since age 4. Competing in competitions winner of several NZ and Local Championship Dances. Qualified Highland Teacher and Adjudicator – NZAH&ND
Also Tap Dancing – BBO (British Ballet Organisation) Tap
Other dance modes include Line Dancing and Clogging.
Currently I am teaching Line Dancing only. An easy style of dance that does not require a partner. Danced with a variety of music genres. Types of dance modes incorporated into Line Dancing include Country, Waltz Tempo, Latin, Swing.
What to expect
Classes can be found at
Mapua Community Hall. 72 Aranui Road, Mapua – Tuesday Morning.Improver Plus Class 9:00am – 11:30am, $8 per class.
Club Waimea. Lower Queen St, Richmond - Wednesday Evening.Learners start 6:00pm - 7:00pm, $8 per class.Other Levels 7:15pm – 8:30pm, $8 per class
Motueka Memorial Hall – Pah Street, Motueka – Thursday Morning.Learners Class Only 10:00am – 11:30am, $8 per class
Who can join
Open to anyone aged 65 years or older (55 years or older for Māori and Pasifika), or anyone at an increased risk of falling, if they can safely participate in the class.
What to bring and wear
It's important to be comfortable when dancing so we encourage dancers to present at classes in Tidy Casual wear and shoes that allow you to move both easily across the floor and are not too grippy.
