Benefits of Seniors Strength and Balance Training ๐
Regular strength and balance training is crucial for older Kiwis wanting to maintain an active, independent lifestyle. Our class focuses on exercises specifically designed to:
- Improve joint mobility - particularly beneficial for those with arthritis
- Enhance balance and stability - reducing fall risk and building confidence
- Increase muscle tone - helping with everyday activities and posture
- Boost energy levels - fighting fatigue and improving overall wellbeing
The supportive group environment provides social connection while working at your own pace. Chair-based options ensure exercises can be modified to suit individual needs and abilities.
Light resistance training using weights and bands helps maintain bone density - particularly important for seniors concerned about osteoporosis. Research shows that even gentle resistance training can significantly improve functional strength in older adults.
