Staying Active and Social in Your Golden Years π
Maintaining social connections and gentle activity is vital for wellbeing as we age. Our CMA (Companionship & Morning Activities) programme provides a supportive environment where seniors can engage in appropriate activities while forming meaningful friendships.
Our sessions are specifically designed for those who may:
- Use walking aids or have mobility challenges
- Have reduced strength or balance
- Feel uncertain about participating in physical activities
- Seek more social connection in their weekly routine
Each Monday gathering includes a variety of gentle activities to stimulate both mind and body, followed by a nutritious shared lunch. Our friendly atmosphere encourages conversation and connection, helping combat isolation that many seniors experience.
The Sunnynook Community Centre provides an accessible venue with comfortable facilities. Our optional transport service makes it even easier to attend for those who don't drive or find public transport challenging.
Regular attendance at social groups like ours has been shown to improve mental wellbeing, cognitive function, and overall quality of life for older adults. Whether you're looking to make new friends, engage in light activity, or simply enjoy a change of scenery in a supportive environment, our CMA programme welcomes you.
Join our community of seniors who look forward to their Monday gatherings. We understand the importance of creating a warm, inclusive space where everyone feels valued and connected, regardless of physical limitations.
