What to Expect at Weekly Choir Practice

Adults arrive ready to sing at this regular choir session. The evening focuses on vocal development through a mix of contemporary songs, folk tunes, Gilbert and Sullivan pieces and medleys such as Neil Diamond. Singers warm up together before moving into part work, harmony practice and full run-throughs of current repertoire.

This session runs weekly on Tuesday evenings and suits anyone who enjoys group singing, whether experienced or returning to choir work. The format stays practical with conductor-led exercises, sectional work and performance preparation for upcoming concerts including the Christmas programme. Visitors are welcome to attend and join in.

  • Structured vocal warm-ups to build technique
  • Rehearsal of mixed-genre repertoire in parts
  • Focus on blend, timing and expression
  • Preparation for scheduled public concerts
  • Supportive group environment for all adult voices
  • Opportunity to learn new material each week

🎵 The emphasis stays on steady improvement and enjoyment of singing together.
