Prost-Fit offers a unique opportunity for Kiwi men affected by prostate cancer to improve their physical wellbeing in a supportive environment. This specialized fitness programme acknowledges that exercise is a crucial component in managing cancer symptoms and improving quality of life.
The class is deliberately structured to accommodate participants with varying levels of mobility and fitness:
- Those who may use walking aids or have reduced strength and balance
- Men with reasonable mobility who feel comfortable with moderate activity
- Participants with good fitness levels seeking more challenging exercise
Research shows that regular physical activity can help manage the side effects of prostate cancer treatment, including fatigue and muscle loss. Prost-Fit provides not only physical benefits but also valuable social connection with others who understand the prostate cancer journey.
The Richmond Aquatic Centre location offers excellent facilities in a supportive environment where you can exercise at your own pace. No prior fitness experience is needed - just a willingness to participate and improve your wellbeing alongside other blokes in similar situations.
Join us for your first free session and discover how targeted exercise can support your cancer journey while connecting with others who understand what you're going through. π€
