Low impact classes
Everyone is welcome to attend these low impact classes. Please bring a piece of fruit and at the end of the night one special person gets to take home all the fruit!
What to expect
Chairs are available for support with balance and some seated exercise. The classes involve cardio along with strength and balance exercises. Everyone is encouraged to go at their own pace.
No class on public holidays and over Christmas and New Year holidays.
Plenty of parking outside the SWPICS building.
Who can join
Open to anyone aged 65 years or older (55 years or older for Māori and Pasifika), or anyone at an increased risk of falling, if they can safely participate in the class.
What to bring and wear
Casual comfortable clothes e.g. track pants, shorts, tights or trousers with t-shirts or sweatshirts. Lace up or snug fitting shoes or sneakers that are comfortable to move in.
