The Get Steady program is designed for anyone who wants to improve their balance and lower the risk of falls. Held at Active+ Physio in Albany, Auckland, this class focuses on exercises that challenge your stability in a safe way.

In a circuit style format, the key areas connected to balance, including strengthening, cardiovascular fitness, proprioception, dual tasking, and vestibular training are addressed. Ideal to keep you nimble on your feet, support your independence, and boost confidence in everyday movements.

It suits those with limited mobility, like if you feel unsure about physical activities, as well as people with good mobility who walk without help and have average strength and balance.

Prior to class attendance, a Physiotherapist with expertise in neurological diseases will complete an assessment of your strength, balance and functional capabilities. The class is delivered by a qualified Physiotherapist, who will then be able to tailor the exercises to your abilities.
