Choir Rehearsals

What Makes This Session Special

Singers gather in a welcoming atmosphere to refine their voices and build ensemble skills together. The Bach Choir of Wellington hosts these weekly rehearsals where participants dive into classical repertoire spanning Baroque, Classical and 20th century works. Attendees arrive ready to warm up, tackle new scores, and polish pieces for upcoming concerts. The session suits experienced singers and those comfortable with auditioned choirs, with a focus on musical precision and group harmony. Everyone works through vocal exercises, sectionals, and full choir run-throughs in a supportive setting open to visitors.

Rehearsals run every Monday evening, giving regular structure for steady progress and performance preparation.

• Start with vocal warm-ups and breathing techniques
• Work on specific choral pieces from different eras
• Practice in sections before full ensemble singing
• Receive guidance on phrasing, dynamics and blend
• Build connections with fellow singers in a focused group
• Prepare material for three annual concert performances

🎵 The evening flows with a mix of concentrated work and shared musical moments that keep everyone engaged.
