Barbershop Chorus Rehearsal

A Typical Session

Walk into a warm, focused rehearsal where women gather to refine four-part a cappella barbershop harmony. Singers warm up together before diving into detailed work on balance, tuning and expression across current repertoire. The session flows through sectionals, full chorus run-throughs and targeted coaching from the co-directors, building both individual skill and group blend. 🎵

This weekly Tuesday evening gathering suits experienced singers who enjoy precise harmony work and performing. Members arrive ready to listen closely, adjust quickly and support each other through challenging passages. The atmosphere stays supportive yet disciplined as the chorus prepares music for local shows and national competitions. 🎤

The group meets every Tuesday evening at the Palmerston North Community Leisure Centre. Attendees should expect a structured, music-first environment open only to current members.
