Frequently Asked Questions
Our Location
We are based at Tauranga’s Historic Village. To find us, drive down 17th Avenue from Cameron Rd. Entry is on the right, just about opposite the St John’s Ambulance station. If you do not display a valid parking permit, your car may be towed away. Those without parking permits will need to park on 17th Avenue and walk in.
What we do
An annual subscription to the club offers its members the opportunity to learn technical skills in a friendly and enjoyable way both in person at the club or online so that they may use their electronic devices effectively. We aim to help add quality of life for our members by enabling them to communicate electronically more easily with others and make new friends as they learn about computer technology. Lessons are held during school terms for an additional small fee which is paid at the time of enrolling for a course. Online banking may be used and EFTPOS is available at the Clubrooms. SeniorNet Coaches are volunteers, often passing on skills which they themselves learnt at SeniorNet. It is our philosophy for members to help each other, and in doing so, continue to learn.
What we don't do
We do not provide a repair service for devices. We do not provide a service for installing new software. We do not provide a service to transfer files (such as photos) from one device to another.
Membership
If you would like to learn more about computing – desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones – we would love to have you join us. Our courses are planned to meet personal computing requirements. They are not designed to train people for employment related computing. The Annual Subscription is $35.00. Our financial year starts on 1st January. In addition to the annual subscription, each course has a charge which is payable in advance. We attempt to keep prices as affordable as possible.
