Whangārei Youth - Meet your MP Candidates!

An event for all young people (ages 0 - 25) to meet local MP candidates, ask questions, hear answers, and learn what candidates align with their own beliefs.

This is your chance to have your voice heard by YOUR local MP candidates! They want to represent your interests in parliament for the coming 3 years - and they are here to answer your questions: What is important to you - is that also important to them? How are they planning to make Whangārei a better place for rangatahi to live? Are they aware of what you might find hard - finding a job, moving out, transport, afford life? Ask questions, tell them what your life looks like and what you would like to see in Whangārei going forward!

Event timeline (might still change slightly):

4.00pm: Doors open, pizzas

4.30pm: Event starts, panel questions from MCs Jodie Rameka & Leon Harvey

5.00pm: Break for more pizza

5.15pm: Rangatahi open mic (YOUR time to let the candidates know what's important to you), moderated Q&A (YOUR time to ask them questions)

6.15pm: Audience session finishes, time to talk to candidates 1-on-1 if you want to know more

6.30pm - 7.00pm: Event finishes
