Weekly Thursday Choir Rehearsals

What Makes This Session Special

People of all ages gather for these choir rehearsals, welcoming both experienced singers and those keen to try choral singing for the first time. The focus stays on building harmony through combined church repertoire, with sessions open to visitors as well as regular participants. 🎵

Attendees arrive ready to warm up voices together, learn new pieces, and refine familiar hymns that suit the combined churches style. The format encourages group participation, where everyone contributes to the overall sound without pressure to perform solos. Weekly Thursday evening rehearsals keep the momentum going, allowing the choir to prepare steadily for upcoming services and events.

• Group vocal warm-ups to strengthen breathing and tone
• Learning harmonies and parts for a range of hymns
• Collaborative singing that blends voices from different churches
• Opportunities to improve timing and blend in a supportive setting
• Regular practice that builds confidence for performances
• A relaxed atmosphere suited to all skill levels

The Foxton Rongotea Combined Churches Choir runs these rehearsals to keep the choir active and connected through shared music-making.
