Description of Walk Through Time Archaeology Tour

Join us on a fascinating tour of the remains of Aotearoa New Zealand's fourth Anglican mission station and early theological college, still visible on the surface. Examine the surrounding landscape to gain a deeper understanding of the area’s cultural heritage and early Māori-Pākehā encounters. Our knowledgeable host will share stories about the site's past, bringing history to life as we wander through this significant historical location.

The tour will be followed by Afternoon Tea and a discussion. Afterwards, your ticket includes entry to the Te Waimate Mission House – the second oldest standing building in Aotearoa - where you can explore the preserved interiors and imagine what life was like in the 1800’s.

Be sure to secure your spot for this insightful educational experience.
