The Quarry Arts Centre is very excited to present Teens Can Turn. An engaging 8-week course for teens aged 13–18. In these three hour after school workshops, students will discover the art of clay and the potter’s wheel. They will learn to throw, shape, trim, decorate their cups and bowls as well as glaze application. By the end of the course they will work toward four finished pieces by the end of the course presented in an exhibition here at the Quarry Arts Centre. All materials, tools and kiln firing is included.
This after-school course will be led by Anabelle Mccusker, an artist who has been creating since childhood, fueling her creative spirit. Her current main art medium is clay and she is a talented and proficient potter. As a primary school teacher, she inspires kids through art and outdoor play.
