Benefits of Practicing Tai Chi in Hamilton 🌿

Tai Chi combines flowing movements with mindfulness to improve your overall wellbeing. Our classes follow the teachings of Dr Paul Lam, a respected medical professional with over 60 years of Tai Chi experience.

Each session begins with Qi Gong exercises - ancient stretching, breathing and meditation routines similar to yoga that prepare your body and mind. We then practice primarily the Yang 24-form (the world's most common Tai Chi set), along with other short forms from various Tai Chi styles.

Regular practice offers numerous benefits:

  • Improved balance and coordination 🧠
  • Enhanced core strength and posture
  • Better joint mobility and muscle relaxation
  • Lower heart rate and blood pressure
  • Potential to slow cognitive decline

Our approach balances both the health and martial aspects of Tai Chi. The health components support longevity and wellness, while the martial elements develop strength and vitality.

Wear comfortable clothing and soft-soled shoes (or go barefoot if preferred). Bring a water bottle and move at your own pace - you're welcome to rest whenever needed. No special uniform required - just come as you are! πŸ’§

Whether you're looking to improve your physical health, find mental calm, or connect with others in a supportive environment, our inclusive Tai Chi classes offer something for everyone regardless of age or fitness level.
