What to Expect
ParkSyde Parkys is a specialized exercise class designed to support those living with Parkinson’s. The session focuses on improving strength, balance, coordination, and mobility through targeted movements and gentle exercises. Classes incorporate strength training using a variety of equipment, as well as boxing with bags and pads to enhance coordination and overall fitness. Exercises can be adapted to suit individual abilities, with options for seated and standing movements in a safe and supportive environment.
Who Can Join
This class is for individuals with Parkinson’s who want to maintain mobility, build strength, and improve overall well-being. No prior fitness experience is needed—exercises can be modified as needed. Support persons are welcome to attend.
What to Bring and Wear
Wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement, and choose supportive footwear for stability. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the session.
