Description of Parksyde Parkys

ParkSyde Parkys is a supportive, specialised exercise class for people living with Parkinson’s. The focus is on improving strength, balance, coordination, and mobility in a safe and welcoming environment.

Sessions include a mix of strength training using a variety of equipment, along with boxing exercises using bags and pads to help build coordination and overall fitness. Both seated and standing options are available, and all exercises can be adapted to suit individual abilities.

This is a friendly, social class where you can move at your own pace and feel supported throughout. Support people are welcome to attend, and there is plenty of free parking available onsite.

Suitable for anyone living with Parkinson’s who wants to maintain mobility, build strength, and support their overall wellbeing. No previous fitness experience is required.

What to bring and wear

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily, along with supportive footwear. Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during the session.
