Mixed Age Gospel Choir Practice

What to Expect at Weekly Practice

People of all ages come together to sing gospel music in a relaxed choir setting at Graceway Church. Both experienced singers and beginners are welcome, with the session focused on group singing rather than performance pressure. Participants start with vocal warm-ups, then move into learning harmonies and refining gospel songs as a full choir. The emphasis stays on building vocal blend and enjoying the music together. This activity runs every Tuesday evening, giving regular members and visitors a consistent time to practise and connect through song. 🎵

The format suits anyone looking for a regular creative outlet in Hamilton East. Singers work on new pieces each week while revisiting favourites, allowing steady progress without needing prior choir experience. The group keeps a friendly atmosphere where questions are encouraged and support comes naturally from fellow participants.

• Practice gospel harmonies in a group format
• Work on vocal technique and breathing together
• Learn new songs and refresh familiar ones
• Build confidence singing in parts
• Enjoy a shared musical experience with others
• Finish each session having contributed to the choir sound
