As we age, maintaining functional strength and mobility becomes increasingly important for everyday activities and independence. These specialized circuit classes are designed to support Kiwis at every stage of their fitness journey.

Our classes accommodate three different mobility and fitness levels:

  • Level 1: Perfect for those with limited mobility who may use walking aids, have reduced strength or balance, or feel uncertain about physical activity
  • Level 2: Suited to participants with reasonable mobility who can walk unassisted, move without difficulty, and feel comfortable with moderate physical activities
  • Level 3: Designed for those with good mobility, fitness levels, strength and balance who are confident in their physical abilities

Functional fitness training focuses on exercises that mimic everyday movements, helping to:

  • Improve balance and reduce fall risk
  • Maintain independence with daily activities
  • Increase overall strength and endurance
  • Enhance flexibility and joint mobility
  • Build confidence in movement capabilities

Each session provides a supportive environment where you'll work at your own pace while still feeling part of a motivating group setting. The circuit format keeps sessions varied and engaging, helping you stay committed to your fitness routine while enjoying the social aspects of group exercise.
