Connect at Waimea Tramping Club's Monthly Meeting
Make new friends and dive into the world of tramping with the Waimea Tramping Club at our monthly meeting in Richmond, Tasman. Held on the first Wednesday of each month (except January) at 7:30pm, this 2-hour gathering at the Nelson/Marlborough Fish & Game Council Rooms is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow outdoor enthusiasts. Whether you're aged 18-29, 30-49, 50-64, or 65+, everyone is welcome to join us for a gold coin donation (koha) to help cover costs. No membership is required to attend, making it an ideal way to see if our club is the right fit for you. 🌄
Gather with like-minded adventurers as we share stories from recent tramps, plan upcoming trips, and enjoy a guest speaker or slideshow. After the formalities, unwind over tea and biscuits while chatting about the stunning destinations right on our doorstep, like Mt Richmond Forest Park and Abel Tasman National Park. These meetings foster a sense of community, offering a space to build friendships and learn more about tramping in the Tasman region. For those new to the club, attending is a great first step—intending members must complete two one-day walks before joining, and this is your chance to get started. 🌿
Alongside the social benefits, our meetings are a gateway to exploring New Zealand’s breathtaking landscapes. From day walks to multi-day tramps, the Waimea Tramping Club caters to adults and families alike. Join us to discover how tramping can enrich your life, both physically and socially, while being part of a friendly, passionate group that’s been stepping out since 1973.
