Choir Rehearsal at Liston College

What to Expect at Main Choir Rehearsal

Adults gather at Liston College for a focused choir rehearsal that builds vocal skills through group singing. The session opens with warm-up exercises to prepare voices, then moves into learning and refining songs drawn from many genres, styles and languages. Singers work on harmony, timing and expression while the conductor guides the group through each piece. This weekly Tuesday evening activity suits adults of any experience level who enjoy singing with others. New participants can join in at their own pace and contribute to the overall sound without pressure.

The rehearsal follows a steady structure that keeps everyone engaged from start to finish. Singers often leave with new pieces to practise at home and a stronger sense of the full repertoire.

• Join vocal warm-ups to ready the voice
• Learn and polish songs from varied traditions
• Develop harmony and blend with the group
• Receive guidance from the conductor on technique
• Work through full pieces ready for performance
• Connect with other adult singers in a relaxed setting

This activity runs every Tuesday evening and welcomes visitors alongside regular members.
