Please drive through Gate 1 at our main entrance, park in the carpark and come up to the office to check-in. You must be checked in by 6:30pm at the latest as you must be guided into the cave and seated by 6:45pm.
What to Expect at the Cave Concert in the Starburst Cathedral
As summer arrives, couples, friends and music enthusiasts can enjoy an intimate live performance deep inside the Milky Way Glowworm Cave. This is the third concert in the Summer 26/27 Cave Concert Series, set in the Starburst Cathedral, the largest chamber filled with delicate crystal formations and thousands of star-like glowworms. The natural acoustics mix with the sound of dripping water to create a truly magical atmosphere.
Nathan Boston (part of White Chapel Jack) & Mema (Vaimoana) Wilda perform alongside Charlotte Rockstar Jones with a vast variety from old rock to new. Young rising stars open each half. Guests receive a blanket for the concert plus light nibbles and refreshments at intermission. The setting offers an enchanting alternative to traditional venues and suits couples, friends and anyone looking for a different kind of live music experience.

Where to Find Us
The Milky Way Glowworm Cave is located in Waipu, Northland. Parking is available on site along with toilets for guests near the cave entrance. A short gravel 300-meter path leads to the cave entrance, followed by 30 concrete stairs and a concrete path inside the cathedral. Refreshments are provided during the intermission, making it easy for visitors to settle in and enjoy the evening in this welcoming community setting.
