These weekly choir rehearsals suit singers of all ages and experience levels who enjoy group singing. Participants arrive ready to warm up voices together before working through a mix of sacred and secular pieces. The session focuses on learning harmonies, refining dynamics and preparing repertoire for upcoming concerts. Singers follow the conductor through sectional work and full choir run-throughs in a supportive setting. 🎵

The group meets every Monday evening in Kerikeri. This session is for current members only.

• Voice warm-ups and breathing exercises to start
• Part learning and harmony practice in sections
• Full choir run-throughs of concert pieces
• Guidance from the conductor on technique and expression
• Opportunity to build blend with around 60 mixed voices
• Preparation for two or three annual performances

Regular attendance helps members stay in tune with the current programme and feel confident on concert nights. 🎤

Location and Directions

Rehearsals are held in a spacious venue in Kerikeri suited to group singing. The room offers good acoustics and ample space for the full choir to spread out comfortably. Easy parking is available nearby for those driving from surrounding areas such as Opua or further afield.
