Why Balance Training Matters for Active Kiwis 🧠🏋️♀️
Balance training is essential for maintaining independence and confidence as we age. The Leisurelys programme offers a supportive environment where seniors can improve their stability and strength in a social setting.
During each 30-minute session, you'll work through a carefully designed circuit that targets key muscle groups important for preventing falls and maintaining mobility. The exercises focus on practical everyday movements like:
- Sitting to standing transitions
- Navigating stairs safely
- Standing on various surfaces
- Single-leg balance challenges
- Coordinated movement patterns
Before joining, you'll complete a thorough induction with a qualified instructor who will assess your current abilities and recommend appropriate classes. This personalized approach ensures you'll exercise at the right level for your capabilities.
The Queenstown Events Centre provides an accessible venue with all necessary equipment. Classes conclude with a gentle cool-down to stretch worked muscles and prepare you for the rest of your day.
This class is particularly valuable for the young at heart who want to maintain their independence and confidence in daily activities. By challenging your balance in a controlled environment, you'll develop the skills needed to navigate real-world situations with greater ease.
