Get Involved: Adult Beginner Karate
This session welcomes adults and youth aged 13 and over who are new to karate or returning to training. Beginners receive focused guidance on core techniques while general participants refine their skills alongside them in a supportive group setting.
When you arrive you can expect a structured class that begins with warm-ups and mobility work before moving into stance practice, striking drills and basic combinations. The format mixes individual technique work with partner exercises so everyone builds confidence at their own pace. The session runs weekly on Monday and Thursday evenings, giving regular opportunities to progress without needing prior experience.
- Build strong foundations in Seido Karate stances and strikes
- Practice controlled partner drills to improve timing and distance
- Learn simple kata sequences step by step

Classes take place in Three Kings, Auckland. The venue is easy to reach by bus with several stops nearby, and street parking is available in the surrounding area for those driving. Arrive a few minutes early to settle in before the session starts.
