Based in the Heart of Wellington

Based in Seatoun, Wellington, our club enjoys a prime location along Marine Parade, offering stunning views and easy access to the water. Wellington’s windy reputation makes it an ideal spot for sailing enthusiasts, and our location in this vibrant region enhances the thrill of every race and training session. The Seatoun area is known for its tight-knit community, and we’re proud to be a central part of it, welcoming locals and visitors alike to join in the fun. Our venue is not only a hub for sailing but also available for hire, accommodating up to 120 seated or 220 standing guests for events.

Our Sailing Programmes and Community

At Worser Bay Boating Club, we offer a range of sailing programmes tailored to different skill levels and ages. Juniors can join our active Saturday morning sessions with classes like Optimist, P-Class, and Starlings, while seniors take to the water in the afternoon with Sunburst, Laser, O.K., Zephyr, and R-Class dinghies. For those new to the sport, our learn-to-sail courses—including Junior, Adult, Have a Go Day, Schools Introduction, and Sailing Development—provide the perfect starting point. We’re always eager to welcome new members who share our passion for dinghy sailing in Wellington, and we encourage anyone interested to apply for membership through our straightforward application process.
