Welcome to Whangarei Flying Club
Whangarei Flying Club is a not-for-profit organisation in Northland, New Zealand, dedicated to recreational aviation. We offer a friendly, safe environment for pilots and enthusiasts of all levels to learn, fly, and connect. Our modern aircraft are maintained to high standards by our in-house engineers, ensuring safety and reliability.
Based in Onerahi, Whangārei, we’re perfectly located for aviation lovers across Northland. With stunning scenery and ideal flying conditions, every flight is an adventure. We operate from Hangar 10 at Whangarei Airport during daylight hours.
The Club owns three aircraft for use and instruction. Flying tuition is provided by experienced members at no extra cost.
How to Find Us
Go past the main terminal, take the second driveway on the left (Gate 4), turn right, and follow the service lane to the end. Parking is available on-site.
Fees
- Annual subscription: $160
- Trial flights: $180/hour
- Member rates: $165/hour

Wheelchair access is available into the hangar.
