Whanganui Boys & Girls Gym Club Trust: The Club Experience
When you join Whanganui Boys & Girls Gym Club Trust, expect a vibrant community dedicated to the thrill of gymnastics. As a non-profit charitable organisation established in 1957, we create opportunities for everyone to engage in this dynamic sport. New members can look forward to structured sessions that cater to various interests and skill levels, fostering growth in a supportive setting. Our affiliation with Gymnastics New Zealand connects us to a nationwide network of nearly two hundred clubs, ensuring high standards and shared passion for gymnastics excellence.
We offer a diverse range of programs designed to suit different needs. Pre-school classes welcome children from 18 months old, sparking early interest in movement and coordination. Recreational gymnastics provides a fun way for participants to stay active without the pressure of competition. For those seeking more challenge, our women's artistic competitive and men's artistic competitive programs build technical skills and discipline. Aerobic gymnastics adds an energetic twist, while incentive awards recognise progress and achievement. We also deliver tailored sessions for community groups, kura and school classes, as well as kohanga reo and pre-school groups. Disability sessions ensure everyone can participate, and we're proud to partner with Whanganui Unique for Saturday afternoon sessions supporting autistic tamariki. Trampoline sessions are available outside term one 2024. Overall, the club experience emphasises personal development, teamwork, and the pure enjoyment of gymnastics in Whanganui.
