Our club offers a welcoming environment for older adults primarily, with racing events held every Sunday afternoon at alternating venues—Seaview Marina and Whitby Lake. Beyond the races, we gather for monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 pm at Lowry Bay Yacht Club in Seaview, providing a great opportunity to connect and discuss all things sailing.

Membership and Fees

Interested in joining the Wellington Radio Yacht Club? We offer three membership categories to suit different needs: Full, Senior, and Country. For non-retired members, the annual fee is $65, while retired members enjoy a discounted rate of $55. For those living further afield, our Country membership is available at just $20 per year. These affordable rates ensure that anyone in the Wellington region with an interest in radio-controlled yachts can become part of our community. Our club is committed to making this niche hobby accessible, especially to older adults looking for an engaging and social pastime.
