Tucked away at 60 Park Avenue, our club is proudly situated in Waikanae Park, offering five beautifully maintained lawns for both Association Croquet and Golf Croquet. Waikanae, located in the Wellington region, provides a scenic backdrop for outdoor activities, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a game. Our central location ensures that Kapiti residents and visitors from surrounding areas can easily join us for a day of sport and camaraderie. The peaceful surroundings of Park Avenue enhance the experience, blending exercise with the beauty of nature.

What We Offer at Waikanae Croquet Club

At Waikanae Croquet Club, we believe in making the sport accessible to all. Croquet is an affordable activity, requiring only a modest annual subscription, a pair of flat-soled shoes, and a mallet—which beginners can borrow from the club for their first season. We offer two versions of the game, Association Croquet and Golf Croquet, each providing its own unique challenges and enjoyment. After initial lessons, players naturally find their level of skill, enjoying the fun, company, and physical benefits of the sport.

Our club thrives on its strong sense of community. Many of our members play purely for social enjoyment, while others relish the competitive edge, participating in regular playing days and club-hosted tournaments for players from other regions. During winter, members gather in the clubhouse for games like Mah-Jong and other board activities, ensuring year-round engagement.
