We’re excited to continue fostering a love for roller skating through our popular Kiwi Skate programme and specialised training sessions. Our commitment to keeping the spirit of skating alive in Upper Hutt drives everything we do, and we’re thrilled to have you join our skating whānau!

In a significant update, we’ve relocated to a fantastic new venue as of 1 August 2025. You’ll now find us at St Patrick’s College (old Gym) in Silverstream, Upper Hutt, a location that offers an ideal wooden gym floor perfect for both casual skating and intensive training. Situated in the vibrant Wellington region, our club is easily accessible to locals and those from surrounding areas. This move marks a new chapter for us, and we’re incredibly grateful to St Pat’s for providing such a supportive space to continue our journey.

Our Skating Programmes

Our Kiwi Skate programme runs during term time with a variety of sessions to suit all ages and skill levels. On Tuesdays, we offer sessions from 5.30pm to 8.30pm, including Early Birds, Tui, Kereru, Moa, Squad, and Adult classes. Saturdays are split into two sessions: Beginners (up to Kereru) from 1.30pm to 2.15pm, and Intermediate (Kereru to Adults) from 2.15pm to 3.00pm. If you’re unsure which session suits you, our friendly Kiwi Skate team is ready to help. We also provide introductory free lessons—three for kids and one for adults—so you can try before committing.

Pricing and Membership

Joining the Upper Hutt Roller Skating Club is affordable and accessible. The cost is $145 per term, which includes skate hire if needed. For adults, concession cards are available upon request, making it easier to enjoy regular skating sessions. We believe in making roller skating an inclusive activity, ensuring everyone in the Wellington community has the chance to experience the joy of gliding on wheels.
