Gear up for an incredible hockey experience at Upper Hutt Hockey Club, a vibrant sports hub in Wellington catering to players of all ages and skill levels. Our club proudly fields 6 senior teams and 7 junior teams in the Wellington Hockey Association Open Grade Competition during the 2023 season, running from March to September. Whether you're a child eager to learn the game or an adult looking for competitive play, we’ve got a spot for you. Training sessions are held on Wednesdays or Thursdays, ensuring flexibility for busy schedules. Beyond the regular season, our members stay active with Summer Hockey, Masters Hockey, and the exciting Wellington 9's competitions, keeping the spirit of the game alive year-round.

Our Location in Upper Hutt

Maidstone Park serves as the heart of our club, located just a stone’s throw from the centre of Upper Hutt and only a short walk from the local railway station. This prime spot in the Wellington region makes it easy for players and families to join us for games and training. We share our clubroom facilities with the Upper Hutt City Football Club, fostering a strong sense of community at Maidstone Park. Being centrally located, our home ground is accessible for players from nearby schools, including Heretaunga College, and other colleges contributing talent to our teams.

At Upper Hutt Hockey Club, we’re passionate about building a tight-knit community through the love of hockey. Our fee structure is designed to accommodate everyone: Seniors pay $450, Juniors $150, Tertiary/Apprentice players $380, Secondary players $300, and Casual players a $60 registration fee plus $25 per game. This ensures that whether you're committing to a full season or just testing the waters, there’s an option for you. We maintain a close association with local schools, integrating young talent into our teams and fostering the next generation of hockey stars in Wellington.
