Ukulele Jam is an informal group of people who enjoy playing ukulele with others. There is no "teacher" but we learn from each other. All are welcome from complete beginners onwards. People are welcome to form small groups with others they meet here. Koha - suggested $5 to help cover room hire and equipment. Even if you don't play ukulele but love to sing - you are welcome to join us to support those who do play but are shy to sing!

Ukulele Jam maintains a relaxed atmosphere. Because some people are shy to sing and play ukulele at the same time, people who love to sing but don't play ukulele are also most welcome!
Location and Meeting Details
The Reyburn House Art Studio. Nestled in the Whangārei district of the Northland region, this location offers a welcoming space for local music lovers to gather. A suggested koha of $5 per person helps sustain the event by covering room hire and equipment needs, ensuring these sessions remain accessible to everyone in the community.

The format is playing along with everyone, with lyrics and chords projected on the wall to a backing soundtrack. You can stop and start at your leisure and skip the chords you aren't comfortable with yet. No one is expected to "perform".
