Where to Find Us in Upper Hutt

We're based in the heart of Trentham, Upper Hutt, a welcoming community within the greater Wellington area. Our clubrooms are conveniently located at the corner of Freyberg Road and Alexander Road, making us easily accessible for locals and visitors from across the region. Whether you’re from Upper Hutt or further afield in Wellington, we invite you to join us at the range on Saturdays during our shooting season, which runs from September to May. Drop by after 1 pm (check the WRA Shooting Programme for exact times) to see us in action, or visit the clubrooms after 4:30 pm to meet our members and learn more about this captivating sport.

Curious about fullbore shooting? Trentham Rifle Club offers a fantastic opportunity for newcomers to give it a go. Visitors are always welcome to attend an afternoon shoot, and your first session is free, with only a small charge for ammunition used. We provide club rifles and a range of equipment for hire at a minimal fee, so you don’t need to own gear or hold a firearms licence to start. Our supportive members are on hand to guide you through the basics, ensuring a safe and enjoyable introduction to the sport in Wellington.
