Catering to members aged 13 and over, the club offers seasonal shooting from 1st March to 1st September, with outdoor sessions for experienced shooters from 20 October to 20 February on Tuesday evenings at the Invercargill Pistol Club range. It also provides coaching for local secondary school students to compete in national events, fostering skill development in a safe, supportive environment. With a focus on precision and safety, Target Shooting Invercargill Incorporated is a dedicated hobbies-special-interests club specialising in target rifle shooting. Previously known as the Invercargill Smallbore Rifle Association, this club provides a structured environment for members aged 13 and over to engage in competitive and recreational target shooting. The main season runs from 1st March to 1st September each year, offering regular opportunities for practice and competitions. Additionally, an outdoor club caters to experienced shooters from approximately 20 October to 20 February, held on Tuesday evenings starting at 6pm at the Invercargill Pistol Club range. The Invercargill Target Rifle club sessions occur on Tuesday evenings, with range doors opening at 7.30pm. Access to the club's range and clubrooms is via a private road adjacent to the railway line, entering from the south-east side of the Pipe Band and Bridge Club carpark.

Positioned in the heart of Southland at 199 Islington Street, Turnbull Thomson Park, Invercargill 9810, New Zealand, the club plays a vital role in the local community. It actively supports regional youth development by coaching members from local secondary schools, enabling them to participate in TSNZ-sanctioned Inter-School Target Rifle events. First-time secondary school pupils are invited to attend a club night accompanied by a parent or guardian, ensuring a welcoming introduction to the sport.
