Our club provides a welcoming environment for enthusiasts to engage in disciplines like DTL trap, Skeet, and Ball Trap, with well-equipped facilities including four DTL trap layouts, three Skeet fields, two Ball Trap layouts, and comfortable club rooms. We emphasise safe firearm handling, adhering strictly to all rules, and offer instruction from experienced members to enhance enjoyment and skill development.

Our Location and Facilities

Welcome to our club grounds at Oreti Avenue in the Sandy Point domain, Oreti Beach, Southland, New Zealand. This prime location offers a peaceful yet accessible setting ideal for clay target shooting activities. Situated at 46 Pacific Avenue, Oreti Beach 9879, our site benefits from the region's natural beauty, providing ample space for shoots and practice sessions. As a key part of the Southland community, we host events twice a month, with additional Tuesday evening openings from 6pm during daylight saving months, making it easy for locals to participate in this engaging gun club pursuit.

Events and Community Involvement

Engage in our regular shoots held on average twice a month, designed for all skill levels in clay target shooting. During daylight saving, every Tuesday evening from 6pm welcomes newcomers to try the sport, supported by club members offering tips on shotgun safety and techniques. Our club also supports school teams and social groups, providing novel experiences for participants. As May nears, we cater to duck shooters with specialised events to sharpen skills in a safe, controlled environment, fostering good gun handling habits for novices while prioritising safety at every turn.
