Welcome to South Taranaki Returned Services Association
Based in the heart of Hāwera, the South Taranaki Returned Services Association (RSA) stands as a pillar of support and camaraderie for war veterans and the wider community. As a social club open to anyone over 18, we pride ourselves on creating an inclusive environment where members, families, and friends can gather. Our club offers a range of facilities, including sports and social sections, a pool table, a children’s play area, a bar, and a bistro, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Beyond recreation, our core mission is to assist fellow New Zealanders in need, with a special focus on veterans who have served our country.
Grounded in the vibrant Taranaki region, our club is located at 130 Princes Street, Hāwera, making it easily accessible for locals and visitors alike. Taranaki is known for its stunning landscapes and tight-knit communities, and Hāwera serves as a central hub where people come together. Our RSA plays a key role in fostering this community spirit, especially through events like the annual Anzac Day observation on 25 April, which honours the sacrifices of our servicemen and women. Whether you’re a resident or just passing through, our doors are open to welcome you into the fold of Taranaki’s rich social fabric.
