Welcome to Rarangi Surf Lifesaving Club

Nestled in the heart of Marlborough, Rarangi Surf Lifesaving Club is a cornerstone of beach safety and community spirit. As a dedicated surf lifesaving organisation, we focus on protecting visitors at Pukatea/Whites Bay with our volunteer Surf Lifeguards who patrol a flagged area during the summer season. From mid-November to mid-March, you can find us on duty every Saturday from 13:00 to 17:00, and on Sundays and public holidays from 11:00 to 17:00. Our mission is to ensure everyone enjoys the beach safely while fostering a love for the ocean through education and engagement. Beyond patrolling, we provide opportunities for individuals to grow through our Junior Surf program and various volunteering roles open to those aged 14 and above.

Join Our Junior Surf Program

One of the highlights of Rarangi Surf Lifesaving Club is our Junior Surf program, designed to equip children with essential beach and surf safety skills. This sport development-based initiative focuses on fun and participation, encouraging young members to 'have a go' while building confidence in the water. The program guides participants towards achieving their Surf Lifeguard Award once they reach the age of 14, preparing them for a potential future in lifesaving.
