Established in 1969, our club—formerly known as the Kapiti Camera Club—has a rich history of fostering a love for capturing life’s moments. We are a diverse community with members spanning a wide range of ages and expertise, from beginners to seasoned photographers. Embedded in the heart of Aotea, Porirua, our club is proud to be a part of the vibrant Wellington region. We meet regularly on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Tuesdays of each month at 7:30pm at the Gear Woolshed Attic, a distinctive red building located at 1 Okowai Road. With plenty of parking available and external stairs leading up to our meeting room, accessing our events is straightforward for all members. Join Our Photography Community
Becoming a member of the Porirua Photography Club is easy and affordable. Our annual fee is just $55, with a family membership option at $80, covering the full membership fee plus an additional $25 for family members living at the same address. We also offer free membership for full-time students under 25, ensuring that young photographers have access to our community. Our regular meetups are a fantastic opportunity to exchange tips, participate in discussions, and embark on photographic adventures together.
