Formerly known as the Valley Dragonboat Club, we take pride in being the largest club of our kind in the area, offering a dynamic range of teams including Women’s, Mixed, and Masters. Depending on membership numbers, we also form juniors, social, or men’s teams to ensure everyone has a chance to paddle. Beyond dragon boating, our club includes a waka ama team, showcasing our commitment to diverse water sports. Our season runs from late December to mid-March, with scheduled events even in the cooler months, providing ample opportunities to compete and connect.

Geared up for adventure, our club is located at Frank Kitts Park Boat Shed 8, The Lagoon, in Wellington Central, placing us right in the heart of the city’s vibrant waterfront. Wellington’s unique coastal environment offers the perfect backdrop for dragon boating, with stunning views and accessible waterways that make every training session or competition a memorable experience. Our teams not only compete locally but also take on challenges at the NZDBA national championships and have proudly represented the region in international events in Australia, Indonesia, and China.
