Our base at 4 Koputara Road, Himatangi Beach 4891, places us right in the heart of Manawatū-Whanganui's coastal charm. Nestled along the stunning Himatangi Beach, we serve the local region by providing essential lifeguard patrols from December to March, when summer crowds flock to the sands. This location not only supports our beach-focused activities but also connects us to the broader Manawatū-Whanganui community, where the blend of rural landscapes and ocean vistas creates an ideal setting for surf lifesaving. Training occurs at key spots like the Lido on Park Road, ensuring accessibility for members across the district.

Training and Patrols

Seniors train Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8pm to 9pm all year round at the Lido, honing advanced techniques in a controlled environment. Juniors aged 7 to 14 years old get hands-on experience with Sunday morning sessions at Himatangi Beach from 10.30am to 12noon, complemented by earlier 9am to 10am sessions at the Lido. These programs are designed to instil lifelong safety skills while encouraging fun and camaraderie. Our surf lifesaving efforts directly contribute to safer beaches, reflecting the club's core mission in the Manawatū-Whanganui region.
